Aqua Divers Club has a wealth of experience in teaching children scuba diving activities from the ages of 8 years+. running courses throughout the year for the students at St. Catherine’s British Embassy School in Athens.

Over the past year they have certified more than 100 students from Seal Team up to Master Scuba Diver level in age groups ranging from 8 – 17 years old.

Student to instructor teaching ratios are kept to a maximum, for the open water dives, of 2 students per instructor for the ages of 8 – 12 years old.

During the courses additional underwater games are introduced to improve their diving skills and special attention is given to the underwater eco system with students being shown how to retrieve and collect underwater garbage.

Equipment is available, wet suit, Bouyancy Control Devices, masks, fins, for ages 8 years +

All courses offered lead to PADI certification and the student’s are covered by the diving club’s insurance policies.

The bay at the Calypso Hotel is ideal for training first time divers, since the entry to the sea is from the beach and the seabed slopes gently to a maximum depth of 10 metres. The bay is well protected from the natural elements, wind, waves and currents and has designated areas for scuba diving.

PADI: Discover Scuba Diving 10 years+ with a maximum depth 6 metres

PADI: Junior Open Water Diver 10 – 14 years with a maximum depth 12 metres

PADI: Adavnced Junior Open Water Diver 12 years+ with a maximum depth of 21 metres

PADI: Junior Rescue Diver with First Aid Course ( Emergency First Response) 12 years+
